Why Goldenfold

What Sets These Programmes Apart from Everything Else Out There

There is no shortage of retirement-related content. What is harder to find is a session that puts learning first and keeps every other motive out of the room.

Six Reasons People Choose Goldenfold

Six Years of Focused Experience

Every session we run has been shaped by the feedback of the people who attended the one before it.

Strictly Educational

We hold no financial licence and give no individual advice. The session ends and you walk away with information — nothing is sold to you.

Small Groups by Design

Maximum twelve participants per public session. Small enough for everyone to ask their question aloud.

Tangible Takeaways

You leave the records workshop with a complete, labelled folder. You leave the reading group with a filled workbook. These are physical things you can return to.

Accessible Location

Damansara Utama is served by public transport and has parking nearby. The room is at street level with no steps.

Workplace Delivery Available

Employers can bring us on-site. No need to ask staff to travel — the sessions come to them.

In More Detail

Each Benefit Explained Plainly

Expertise Rooted in Real Transitions

Our facilitators are not academics theorising about retirement — they are people who have spent careers working directly in workforce transitions, document management, and adult education. Lim Hui Shan ran HR for large organisations through voluntary separation schemes and mass retirement cycles. Anand Rajan spent years helping government staff organise the paperwork required at the end of their service.

  • Combined 40+ years of relevant working experience
  • Session content updated whenever official information changes
  • Workbooks reviewed and refined across more than 200 sessions

A Clear Process from Booking to the Door

Booking is done by email or phone. We confirm your place, send a brief note on what to bring, and remind you two days before the session. There is no lengthy onboarding form, no account to create, and no app to download. On the day, the room is set up and the materials are ready before you arrive.

  • Confirmed by email with clear joining instructions
  • Two-day reminder with any last preparation notes
  • Simple invoice and bank transfer payment — no card required

Responsive, Unhurried Communication

We reply to enquiries within one working day — usually the same morning. If you send a message with a question about which programme might suit you, we write back with a plain answer, not a pitch. If after the session you have a follow-up question about something that was discussed, you can email us and we will respond.

  • Same-day or next-morning reply to most enquiries
  • Post-session questions answered without charge
  • Telephone available during office hours for those who prefer to speak

Straightforward Pricing

The reading group costs RM 460 per person per session, which includes the workbook and all materials. The records workshop is RM 730 per person and includes the folder, dividers, and inventory sheet. The workplace programme is RM 3,850 for the full three-session engagement, covering all on-site delivery for the employer's nominated group. There are no hidden extras.

  • All materials included in the stated price
  • No cross-selling or upselling during or after sessions
  • Invoice provided for employer reimbursement where applicable

Outcomes That Are Easy to Measure

After the reading group, participants typically report that they understand the broad structure of the EPF withdrawal process, know what questions to raise at their next official appointment, and feel calmer about a subject that had previously seemed opaque. After the records workshop, the outcome is concrete: an ordered folder that exists and can be used.

  • Written feedback collected after every session
  • 87% of reading group participants say they feel better prepared to ask questions at official bodies
  • 100% of records workshop participants leave with a completed folder on the day

How We Compare

Our Approach vs Typical Alternatives

Feature Goldenfold Typical Providers
Purely educational — no products sold
Small group (max 12 participants)
Plain-English workbook to take home
Physical records folder produced on the day
On-site workplace delivery Occasionally
No obligation or follow-up calls after session

What Makes Us Distinctive

Three Things You Will Not Find Elsewhere

The Records Folder Workshop

A four-hour session entirely devoted to organising your existing paperwork. To our knowledge, no one else in Malaysia offers this as a standalone, non-advisory service.

Discussion-Based Learning

The reading group is built around discussion, not slides. Participants read together, raise questions, and work through a guided workbook rather than sitting through a presentation.

Complete Independence

Goldenfold has no affiliation with any fund manager, insurance company, bank, or advisory firm. We have no commercial reason to steer you in any direction.
